Hello, I just got my Alienware yesterday, and I wanted to know what i should do in terms of searching for defects.
So far i've found that quite a few of my keys squeak, namely the space bar, the right shift and the back space. This doesn't bother me at all because i can barely hear the squeaks over the roar of the fan, but i'd like to make sure the squeaking is the only thing wrong with my laptop.

Oh, one more thing, I have the Cooler master U2, with it plugged in and both the fans running I'm getting between 42-53 celsius just running firefox and real temp, is that normal?

    Temps look fairly normal...

I don't think you need to look for any defects... Just do your normal stuff. Move some stuff around the hard drives, play some games, etc... If all seems fine.. Chances are everything is perfect :)

I'm guessing you mean my temp readings :) thank you for the reply. :) I've turned off turbo boost, now this amazing machine is running at temps between 33-42 :D I'm really impressed.

I have 2 defects, there is a white stuck pixel on the bottom right of my screen, and t he "V" key on the keyboard is abit out of its position. I can live with the latter but I may want to ask for replacement for the white stuck pixel within the 21 days. I still have 2 more weeks to call them and ask for new replacement.
I hope the white pixel can just go away. anyone knows how to fix this ?

it didnt work, tried some methods. its 2x2 pixel in a dot. meaning 4 pixels in a dot. called dell and they agreed to sending me a replacement in 10 days or so. which means i will be left with 3 more days upon receiving the new unit before the 21 days policy runs out.
