    Hi all,

I've had my AW for three years now come November, and since the beginning of July my speakers have been functioning poorly.

I first noticed it watching a video lecture - the sound was cracking up, especially at higher pitch. This is just as obvious when listening to music and such. Basically the quality suddenly sounds like coming from a pair of very poor speakers.

Do you reckon there's anything I might do about it?

My warranty is still valid, but I bought my laptop via a major online retailer where I live, so I'm not quite sure if and how they would handle it. I guess some people could consider this issue rather minor. Does anyone have experience with such issues in regard to customer services/warranty replacements?

    Thanks!

I had my speakers replaced not too long ago under warranty as they were crackling a bit. If you cannot get warranty service in Romania from Dell, you could always look to replace them yourself as they are not hugely expensive - just have to find the part number and search for them. If you look at the start of the M14x Owners Lounge, you should find a parts list detailing 5 digit part numbers for each component....

It seems like they may need a replacement. If the Pc is still in warranty send us an e-mail to [email protected] and we'll help out.
