I want to purchase a AW m14, but I wonder is the screen really that bad on these? I read horror stories, but I really need to know before I pick one up...

    Thanks!

I was extremely disappointed with the 14" 1600x900 screen on my Latitude...I'd imagine it would be the same screen...

Why did you send back your m18x?

Well for one, it has a paint chip on the top lid (as seen in my unboxing video).

The second reason was the warranty. I wanted to get an extended warranty after the POS (point of sale) since I only ordered with 1 year advanced. So I was quoted $1500 for max term, while POS its like $440ish. I spoke to several people about it and I was advised to return the system and reorder it with the additional warranty... so I will do that or go with something else this time.

I read the screen has a 45% color gamut which honestly isn't that great. Granted I won't do any graphics on this machine, but thats still pretty low. At least the m17 or even the m18 has a 60% or even 70%. Anyone have any comparison between the screens?
