Ebay has them. But the killer 2x2 card is called the 1102, which is the one you need. The 1103 is a 3x3 card, so you'd have to add another antennae for that one yourself. The wifilink 1000 is crap, so i replaced it with a 6250, which is a better value imo than the 1102.

    Killer 1102 45 bucks
    Bigfoot networks Killer Wireless-N 1102 | eBay

    Intel 6250 17 bucks
    New genuine Intel Advanced-N + WiMAX 6250 622ANX n card | eBay

Really easy to install. Its right under the battery, takes a minute or less.

Personally the Killer cards are very good.

Range, speedwise, I've run speedtests in the exact same location with the Intel 6300 and the Killer 1103 (Both most recent drivers), the Intel lags in both connection signal power / range / speed.

I loved the Killer 1103 so much that I even put it in a business workstation.. ;)

My intelwifilink would constantly drop signal. Talked to a dell customer service rep, and he said lots of people are having this problem. Maybe they got a bad batch, idk. Gave me a free 6250 with overnight shipping.

    Get the 1102.

The only benefit of the 1103 comes if you have 3 antennas available.

As the m14x has 2, there is no need to get the 1103. Save the $20 and get the 1102, it will be a noticeable improvement.

You can't really install an 1103 in an alienware m14x, you'd need to route another antennae behind the screen, the m14x only comes with 2 antennae, which is why the 1102 is the one you'd want. The max bandwidth for the 1102 from the router is 300mbps, the 1103 is 450. I guess thats 150mbps per antennae.

The 1102 is a full size card with 2 antennas. The 1103 is a half size card with 3 antennas. I installed the killer 1103 in the Dell M4300 with only 2 antennas connected and get 450 Mbps speed.

I had a 1102 and 1103 in my r1 at different times as well as a Intel 6300. both my killer cards were half height and looked the same with the exception of the 3rd antenna plug. prior to the killer cards I had been using the intel 6300 and a macbook internal antenna for the 3rd channel i got from ebay.
I had been real happy with the performance of the 6300 until I compared it to the 1102. even without the 3rd antenna of the 6300, the 1102 would almost always give better throughput. shortly after getting the 1102 i was able to find a 1103 on ebay which i also bought. when connecting to a Netgear WNDR4000 (300+450) I did get a noticeable improvement in throughput and range compared to the 1102.
I ended up moving my 1103 to my r2 because when I ordered it there was no killer cards available. the downside is that Bluetooth on the r2 is built into the wifi card options so going killer at the time meant losing BT. shortly after I got the r2 they began offering the killer 1202 which I ebay'd as soon as I could find one.
im very happy with the 1202, but that hasn't stopped me from looking for a 1203 to bring me back to 450. I have noticed that dell now has a driver for the dell 380 Bluetooth but I have not been able to find the module available anywhere. if i can find one it should allow me to put my 1103 back in and keep BT.
my REAL wish is for someone to make a Mini PCIe 802.11 AC card. ill deal with no BT for 1300Mbps.
