    Hi,
This is my first Dell machine that I purchased and was wondering if they are ever going to release an updated driver for the Nvidia card? This questions is to those that have experience with Dell products, do they ever update them or do we have to always mod the driver from the Nvidia site? I just find it hard to beleive that the lastest update is from May / June when nvidia released many versions since. I understand that they need to test it out and all but it would be nice to have one update every so often. Anyway those that have experience I'd like to hear from you.
    Thank you all.

The last driver I installed(285.27) didn't require to mod the inf file.

But that one isnt Dell's release, it is nVidia's, the OP ask if Dell ever going to release the Dell's version one. And yeah I kinda wondering as well, but for the Intel's they did release their own version after like every Intel 2nd release.

Dell usually lags behind on these drivers because every Alienware machine is so customized. That's why one tech told me. He just advised me if I knew how to install the .inf module to just do that for the latest drivers. ;D

Why would anyone want to stick with Dell's drivers?
    Does it affect warranty?

Did it affect the Optimus at all? I want the extra bonuses of the latest version but I also don't want to loose the 3+ hours of on battery non gaming.
