It used to be that I had an icon in my system tray for "Intel My WiFi Technology" that allowed me to tether devices wirelessly to my computer to use its internet connection (which was also connected wirelessly to a wireless router, all using the built-in wireless card). Now I have updated drivers that include "Intel PROSet/Wireless Tools", and the My WiFi Technology is nowhere to be found (except one place: if I go to change the installation in "Uninstall a Program", it shows up with a filled in check box, indicating that it is installed). I know I can use a wired connection to the internet and then set up a hotspot, but I want to do everything wirelessly like I used to. How can this be done?

I don't have a restore point that far back.

You can re-install both programs or, if you have already backed up your data you could use AlienRespawn to roll back to factory settings.

How can I reinstall My WiFi Technology, as it has become part of the PROSet tools and doesn't seem to be available with it installed? Or are you saying that I should go back to using old drivers?
