After an hour talking to a dell rep, letting him remotely control my pc, he said a lot of people are having issues with the Intel wifi link 1000, and that replacing it might not solve the issue. I asked if I can upgrade the card, he said the 6250 would cost me 80 dollars through them. I was about to hang up, when he said that he can try to get me one for free. Luckily, he did, with overnight shipping, all free. It arrived today, installed it in a minute, had the drivers ready, and it works flawlessly. I'm loving it. If anyone else if having the drop signal/failed re-connection problem with the wifi link 1000 should upgrade to it. If dell wont replace, it's only around 25 dollars on ebay. Great service by Dell finally IMO.

Well upgrading through dell is expensive. 50 bucks from the site. So it's a better idea not to get the 6250, see how the intel 1000 fairs, and then if it's not performing satisfactory, buy the 6250 on ebay for 20 bucks :)
