    Hi all,

My Crucial M4 256GB drive arrived today and I'm wondering if I should install in AHCI mode or RAID? What's the difference?

Are there other things to modify as it is an SSD?

Also, should I not install the free fall sensor?

AHCI. Its faster, uses less system resources. RAID would only be used if you had 2 or more identical hard drives installed.

Free fall sensors would 'park' the head on the hard drive (i.e. mechanical). There is no moving parts on an SSD, so there is nothing for Free Fall to do.

Choose tweaks you're comfortable with that apply to you.
