    hey how do i update my drivers? i just got my computer today. does it come with the latest drivers? how do i check?

    thanks for your help. btw im downloading 280.26 as we speak but i have no idea what to do with it.

    Go to dell support and put in your service tag to down load the any newer drivers. Unless your into benchmarking, try running the system as is from Alienware and make sure all is well and your happy. Doing fresh installs and driver updates are fine for those that are power user's. :eek: But I have seen more people get things messed up and not sure where the problem is by doing to much right off. :rolleyes: If your learning follow the posts here and take it slow, you'll be much better off.     HEY!! so i try playing crysis and battlefield bad company 2 and its not using the gt555m, so how do i whitelist games???

    To whitelist, right-click anywhere but on an icon on the desktop, then select 'NVIDIA Control Panel'. Select 'Manage 3D Settings' on the left, then go to the 'Program Settings' tab. From there on, either select the game if it's on the list, or add it to the list using the 'Add' button. After that, select 'High-performance NVIDIA processor' under preferred graphics processor for the program.

    hey i have an alienware m14x. just a few days after i got it the subwoofer started jarring. so before i get it repaired which is going to be in a while. i want to know how to turn off the subwoofer temporarily. can someone help me!

    alienware m14x,windows 7 ultimate,8gb ram,3gb graphics card,hd+,750gb hdd

    I think you can change the speaker configuration in the sound control panel IIRC on the creative software. Not sure if you can without it.
