I have a question about my Alienware 14 order.

I placed an order for a new Alienware 14 on Monday. I used my bank MasterCard debit card, so the funds showed coming out of my account as "pending". Yesterday, I was called by a Dell rep asking if the charge was valid and once I said yes and provided my address etc. he thanked me and said we will ship it as soon as it is ready. Today when I looked at my bank account the charge (around $1,700) was not listed and the funds were back in my account! Is this standard for an order, where the funds are first held then once verified, released until the actual item (laptop) ships? When I look at my status it says in-production (with an estimated delivery date of July 25th), just like it did on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Thanks for any help with this.

Yes, it's normal. The initial pending charge is just to clarify that you have a functioning bank account. You are only officially charged once your computer is shipped out, or labeled under "shipped."

Im in a bit of a situation.

I ordered an Alienware 14 on July 8th and Dell Charged me the same day. I had to cancel the credit card on the ninth for other reasons.

What should i do? Should i call Dell and give them a new Credit Card number or what?
