Guys updated my graphics drivers on my m14x to 306.97 and have been experience constant lags in games that were running perfectly fine before. I don't remember the old number of the graphics driver but they ran everything much more smooth.

Is there a problem with the new driver or is it just me? I sense lags in all games old and new. Which driver is considered the best for the m14x? How do I roll back? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I am currently using 306.97 and I'm not experiencing any issues.

What games in particular? Did your power save settings get changed somehow?

Maybe the new driver restored the default settings, make sure your games are whitelisted.

The games are whitelisted my brother from another mother. Is there anyway to roll back? There's lag in NBA 2k13, Borderlands 2 and Street Fighter 4....all which worked smoothed before I updated.

I don't get it. Why would you update the default nvidia driver that came with your laptop if it has no problems. If it ain't broke, don't fix and update it unless the former one is slow and buggy.

I've updated to 306.97, out of the box, had no problems at all.

90% of the time drivers add support for new games, and usually improve performance overall.

For example, right after BF3 came out last year NVIDIA made an update that improved BF3 performance 10-15% on all NVIDIA cards (at least advertised, never looked into it).

So they do more than just fix bugs usually.

I had this problem two days ago, but to solve it I had to update to 306.97, delete old drivers and sort out a few other issues. Games were still very choppy for a few hours. Turned my computer off, went out for a few hours, came back and games were playing better then they have before!
