Ok so I have an R2 with Sound Blaster Recon 3Di installed, when I connect my R2 to the TV, it works fine with the TV speakers. But when I connect the headphones it doesn't play any sound (only on the TV, not headphones) I did a sound test on the sound blaster with the headphones and I heard the sound

I have the latest sound drivers btw.

How do I play both sound on my headphones AND speakers? I just want to be able to hear sound from the speakers and at the same time my head phones so I can just mute the TV if it gets too loud.... please help!

not sure if there's a way to configure multiple audio outputs on the PC side (actually i'm pretty sure there's not), but you could always hook the headphones up to the TV's audio out. that will allow you to have both.

You can only set up the Audio output to one device. You can get the Headset to play the sound by going to Audio Properties and selecting it as the default playback device.

Theres no way windows allows you to use 2 seperate channels for audio output.

The only way is to use an external audio interface connected with the notebook that has Monitor / Master Channel Outputs. Master for your Speakers and Monitor Channel for your Headphone.

doods, if his TV has an audio output problem solved. besides, i lied. there are ways to configure multiple outputs. it's just a little beyond the scope of OP's issue.

How would you know for sure if it's beyond his scope? Would you happen to have a current IQ test of him on the subject?

I hate it when people post something, but won't go into details how to fix it. If you write a book how to get it done you write a book.

    Give him a chance...
