Ok so I have the physical disk AND dmg of my Mac os x. Everytime I follow instructions from YouTube (followed step by step) it always says no os found whenever I use virtual box OR the vm ware one.
Is it not compatible or am I missing something?

Check and see if there is a dual boot manager that is compatible with both PC and Mac, that would be the only way to do it.

I am looking to do the same thing on my m14x tonight. I will let you know how I get on.

Did you make sure virtualisation is enabled in BIOS?

got mine working today with a VM of Lion from a friend. I did need to run a patch in windows to vmware to get it running. the patch was part of the rar set I received. running in Workstation 8.04 and havent had much time to mess with it but it boots up and load things faster than a brand new max spec macbook pro 13 a coworker just happened to get same day. granted the graphical advantage of the AW wont translate through a VM but the CPU will.
I tried for a couple days to get OSX running on my R1 for a project I wanted to test compatibility on, but after having no luck I asked a friend if he knew of a way to VM one and he handed me a flash drive, lol. wish i could throw it up and link to it here but im sure there is something about not doing that in the click on agree thingy.

If you run in a VM its MUCH easier than if you run a Native install. I had 10.6 running in VMWare Workstation without issue, but the native boot was a TON of work, and just not worth it.

I do a lot of ios development which needs osx. plus I run an osx apache server for web dev and its nice to be able to run it on my m14x rather than having to carry my mbp and m14x with me

I sold my macbook 2010 with snow leopard dvd, and I just ordered the lastest with Lion or Mountain lion....for some reason I followed pretty much most of the videos on youtube and still have problems with one of my iso's I made from the physical disk =/

Ok so pretend my machine is Windows 7 and I installed my Mac OS X on it.

Pretend I'm using Mac OS X Virtually and the site I went to had a virus, could the virus go to my Host Windows 7 machine and infect it? Or will I be safe as long as I use Mac OS X virtually?

Only if you transfered the virus file from one patition(mac) to the other(pc) and it was written for the pc(like most are).

If you do a virtual machine its far less likely it would happen. That's also what makes snapshots so useful in vms, testing and reverting back.
