    Greeting everyone,

I have managed to procure OCZ Agility 3.
I want a clean fresh install on SSD.
I have done few installations in HDD but first time on SSD.

    1. Once Win 7 is installed what drivers/ software to install for better SSD performance.
    2. What drivers/ software to uninstall for better performance.
    3. How do I benchmark my SSD performance?
    4. Any care/ tips I must remember before/ after installation.

    Any answers are much appreciated
    Thanks in advance.

    2. Intel RST for sure. Restart and WIn7 will install automatically its AHCI driver.
    3. Download ATTO and run it
    4. Tips: Secure erase before installation (if the SSD is not brand new and unused) and flash to firmware 2.13 if it is still possible (I have OCZ), as it is the most stable FW working on my M14X + OCZ SSD for other people I know using OCZ and if after benchmarking you get SATA 3Gbps speeds (you have Bios A08), you might try unlocked Bios A05 which should give you SATA 6Gbps after a small tweak. Do not install Intel RST, only Intel Chipset driver. Once a week I log off and leave the SSD to do garbage collection to restore memory cells. I would not fill the SSD to more than 80%. I would disable Hibernate and restore and set a small pagefile (I disabled it, but I have 8 Gig RAM)

These are basic things, if you have any further questions/problems, I will gladly help you.

    Have a nice weekend.

    c69k<<< Great job...

    about ssd performance increase...
well i dont remember some of them but you can google ssd tips....
first turn off paging files but since you have 4 gigs ram you may try to move it to the hdd (if you have it installed) or make it start at 0 and increase according to program needs...
turn off defrag... turn off indexing....

if you reflash to A05 you will get sata 3 but im not sure if it is going to be stable...

    Cheers...
