As title says, I want to know if there is any way to remove grease from the palm rest. I'm a rather greasy fellow and about a week I have my m14x r2, I noticed there's a grease spot, I then approached it with dishwater+tissue, it improved somewhat as it isn't visible anymore. However, I have noticed that if I swipe it with wet tissue again, there's still a reflective light that tells me that there's still some grease in it [see pic below].

Is hard to see in the pic, but the spot where I boxed will reflect light. The rest of the dark area is just water that I applied for the purpose of making it visible.

Is there anyway to safely remove it, since I noticed the m14x is rather rubberized , is there a way to remove the stain while not damaging the rubber?

Here's an article with a few recommendations on how to clean your Alienware laptop:

I had the same problem with my Alienware and only water did the trick.

Water does work somewhat, as you can't see it anymore, however, once is in contact with water, it will still shows. I'm asking this because I'm sure it will only get worse later on as I use it and wanted to know a better solution.

I heard Magic Eraser is good for cleaning grease. Would that be good with m14x? Seeing the uni-body of m14x is all rubbermaid.

No liquid required, all you need is a microfiber cloth, the type of cloth used for cleaning eyeglasses or LCD displays. They are typically blue in color.

Rub it down for less than a minute and it returns the palm rest back to its flat black, non-glossy appearance, like when you first bought it. :D

I was going to clean my palm rest and remembered this post. I took a picture to show the difference (left some of the palm rest untouched).
