There's gaps between the keys that dirt, crumbs, etc may fall into. Do you guys clean the keyboard and if so, how do you clean those crevices?

I have found that the absolute best way to clean the keyboard on my M14x is to submerge it in one cup of laundry detergent mixed with very warm water. Make sure the laptop is turned off though, otherwise this is not a good idea.

i use a vacuum hose to clean my keyboard. had some tea spilled on it once and i sprayed i little water on the keys, pressed on the keys some, vacuumed, then repeated until my keys quit sticking.

Use a low power vacuum like the Dirt Devil things, and to clean off the grease I actually use a damn paper towel like after every time I use it lol

If you notice, all that dude does is attempt to be funny. He has absolutely nothing to contribute. What I personally find funny are the people who think he's being serious. So in a roundabout way, he does make me laugh.

The best way to clean the M14 keyboard is to take it off and away from your laptop, using the AlienWare service manuals. (They can be googled and downloaded for free.) Turn it upside-down and run hot water on the backside of the keys, while pushing the keys to work free any dirt. Notice that there is a plastic film, which activates key pressing. Any liquids, dirt, and skin cells that fall through the key board, while in use, get trapped here. This must be cleaned as well or the keyboard will short out over time. Use the sprayer on a kitchen sink to get the tough areas. Once you are confident that it is clean, gently shake access water off and blow-dry it with a hair dryer. It is ok to use the hottest settings just do not hold it in any one place too long at a time. Once it is dried, allow it to cool to room temperature. Check for any water spots, once the keyboard is cooled to room temperature, before reinstalling it back into the laptop. If any spots of water or moisture are noticeable through a thorough expectation, repeat the drying and cooling method.

I hope people didn't think I was being serious. I was just getting in on the joke. I quite like Fallout's posts.
