I've played around with the settings in Alien Fusion, but I can't get my Nvidia card to run at full power when I'm not plugged into the wall. When I'm unplugged, performance in Skyrim is at about 14fps, and plugging in bumps me immediately into the 40s.

Is there a way to play at full power without being plugged in? (and yes, I realize it won't last for long...)

Bios A01 allowed it, but shutdowns were very likely to happen.

You have to flash to bios to an earlier bios version such as A01. I don't recommend doing this, as the new bios also has changes that significantly increase overall performance.
