    Hi Guys,

Firstly, I am new to the gaming systems, so sorry if my post seems lame.

    I have ordered and recieved a M14X, i7 2860QM, 8gig ram and the 3gig GT555M graphic card.

I am trying to set up BFBC2 to get some practice in before the launch of Battlefield 3, and I am having some issues in getting the game to run smooth.

I have located the BFBC2 game exe, and have added it to the Nvidia control panel. I have adjusted the settings "in game", but I think the Nvidia settings are overwritting them, is that possible?

What should be or are the "best / preferred" Nvidia settings in the control panel for my systems capabilities?

Thanks in advance for any information, and sorry again about the noob questions!

    Ricey

I played it from stock at medium settings 1600 x 900 resolution, i7 2630QM, 3gb card like you. I think some people here say the i7s run way too hot when turbo boosting (or was it hyper threading?) causing them to throttle down, maybe try disabling these options in bios (hit f2 on startup, be careful in the bios, consult a guide you do not want to switch things on and off at random if you are not sure what you are doing.)

well i ran battlefield 3 beta completely maxed out and it was smooth and pretty but it definitely ran hot, i would turn off turbo boosting in the bios as well, save your laptop and your legs from burning up

Thanks for the feedback guys, I will give the bios settings a go.

What about the Nvidia card settings, what did you have it set at, anisotropic, antiailiasing, textures etc etc?

Just want to make sure I have everything set up as it should be.

    Thanks again
