Well, I'm from Canada, and therefore have less options than the US counterpart.

Alienware M14x Laptop Details | Dell Canada

I was hoping to be able to run Crysis or Crysis 2 with the system, would the $1,299 option be able to do that? (On decent settings, as in not low, but not max.)

And how well would the first and third options compare to it?

Edit: I also just saw the pre-order questions thread, sorry if I'm unable to post this here.

Not much difference in gaming in the i5 and i7 processors. I have the i5 and crysis one and two run great...almost max, you can run them pretty high even without overclocking.

The only upgrade that is good is 720p to 900p. Nothing else really. I have the 720p and everything looks great but I heard 900p is the way to go.

So you have the $1,099 option then? And did you add any upgrades?

Nope I didnt...just bought the bag. The laptop is great on default but if you want to get the most out of it the best purchase would be i7, 900p and maybe the more expensive wifi option if ya wifi a lot.

But default seems great on its own/.

Check my video reviews for Crysis 2 game play (as well as other stuff) on my M14x.

You can check my youtube for a few videos aswell. Going to upload another tonight but so far have Crysis 1 and Metro 2033.

Id recommend getting the i7 2630QM, 4gb of ram (I think canada can only get 6 or 8 actually), and 900p screen. If you plan to keep your m14x for more than a year, i7 is definitely recommended. People say there's no difference between the i5 and i7, but eh. For games in the future like BF3 I'd rather have a quad core than saying like a hundred bucks.

EDIT: So the 1299 model does look good, but I'd call Dell and order over a rep to get a deal. Also the bigfoot wireless is sort of recommended if you can afford it.
