Something odd just happened today. I plugged in my laptop and the cursor does not respond well to touchpad. If I unplug it, it works fine.

I do not have a mouse with me ATM to see if it's cursor or touchpad related, but I'm leaning touchpad since all other performance seems to be normal.

Anyone else have this issue? Only thing I did was download a game last night (legit) so I highly doubt virus related.

    Alienware 14xR2

EDIT - I just tried booting to Safe Mode to try and rule out driver issues. I'm experiencing the same problems. Could there be an issue w/ the charge affecting the touchpad? Also, clicking with the physical buttons are not as responsive, which is leading me towards a hardware issue...

Side Note - This could've been going on for a while. I do not use my touchpad when plugged in. I only use it on battery. Plugged in I run a mouse.

In the event that others run into this problem, here is what was happening.

While at a local coffee shop working, I was plugged in. Turns out that there must've been something 'wrong' with their electrical feed coming in. I know it was an old shop, and they loosely attached a 6-port outlet to a 'questionable' socket. Anyways, once I got home and plugged it in, it worked fine.

Something to be said about portable surge protectors...
