Hi all, I'm about to order an M14x from dell Canada.
I plan to use it for general stuff, net surfing, music, etc with the occasional gaming, some flight simulator.
For the hsrd drive, I was going to go with the 750gb 7200rpm, but noticed for $25 I can upgrade to the 500gb + 32gb msata caching ssd. Could someone please explain what real world benefit, if any, that I'd get from the upgrade? The $25 isn't the issue, but I'd rather not give up the extra 250gb storage if it won't offer any improvement.
Someone please dumb this down for me! Thanks!!!

What you are going to get is a boost in boot times and loading times for folders/files and games. the caching device stores information on it for the HDD to be able to get to the info quicker.
