Hi I'm looking to take out my CD drive from my Alienware 14 and replace it with a 2.5" HDD. However, the model I want is WD Green that is 15mm in height. Will that fit the CD tray caddy? For reference the main drive came with 9.5 mm WD black on primary sata.

Looks like I can't install this model. on the website it says

    "Recommended use.
WD Green hard drives are tested and recommended for use in custom-built enclosures and other applications that require cool and quiet operation.*

*Cannot be used in laptop or notebook computers. Designed for PCs and custom external enclosures. Consult system specifications for maximum allowable drive height before attempting to install."

I'll have to go with WD Blue!

There is a chance, I dont remember if it was the m17x or the m14x, but one of them has a hdd shaped hole in the cd drive area that is filled with metal ribs. If it is the 14 then you may be able to cut those ribs out, then use parts of the odd to hdd caddy to make it happen.... but again, I dont remember if it was the 14 or the 17
