    Hello,

I just recently bought a brand new M14x. I just got the laptop yesterday and I loaded on a game when I get this nice little surprise.

    View image: Pixalated 1

Has anyone every seen a game do this? No that isn't rain or anything it is always like that whenever I play a game. I tried updating the drivers but alas, there are no drivers for this alienware version atm. I booted up Skyrim and it is having the same problem. I went ahead and disabled the card and used the on board GPU and everything works perfectly (at low quality).

    CPU i5 3rd gen
    GPU 650m Gt
    6gb

TL;DR There are random Pixals of blue and red jumping around the screen for no reason. All games are doing it.

There is another. Even when I just boot up a launcher like for LOL, it still has the issue notice the desktop is perfectly fine.

Maybe this might help but I'm not sure: Go to Nvidia Control Panel/ Manage 3D settings/ Program settings then add the programs that you want to launch like Dota 2 or LoL then set " Select the prefer graphic processir for this program" to "Hight-performance NVIDIA processor" then click apply.

And I also recommend you to update your Nvidia driver since the stock driver from dell cause a lot of issues. Some have report about these issue and those problems happen to me too.

Sounds like you have artifact issues going on with your GPU. I honestly think you need to have your GPU or motherboard replaced or both (that's why it's happening only when you run games using your nvidia GPU). I've had an R1 and currently own an R2. Both laptops had to have their GPUs and Motherboards replaced.

Alienware's manufacturing team isn't that great and they are known for shipping out a lot of lemons. Once the experienced and knowledgeable Dell tech fixes your laptop, it will run like new (which it should have done right out of the box). Good luck getting it fixed, because Dell and Alienware's customer service is horrible (lots of people have complaints about the same issues and their customer support takes forever to resolve your laptop's issues)
