Sigh...I sent my laptop in last week to fix some problems with parts of the chassis being loose on the palm rest area and the lid, along with a weird gap by the right side of the lcd screen. They shipped it back on the same date arrived to them...Friday...but I still had to wait till Tuesday to get it since FedEx doesn't ship on Weekends.

    Nothing was fixed TT_TT

Should I try to send it in again or give up and ignore it since it's not performance problems? I've only had it for a month brand new. I have the advanced warranty though that covers even dropping or w/e damage.

Here are the pictures of the things I wanted to fix...bits of dust are being stuck inside...

    1. Weird extra large gap on the right of screen: 2012-08-21 23.47.35.jpg
    2. Right palm rest area, popped up:

Looks like a bad assembly .. if you didnt do these "damages" to the machine

Id recommend you to let a Dell technician come to you after calling the Alienware Premium Hotline and sending these pictures to them. Why did you send it in for the fixes anyway?

They will encourage owners to send it in. I had a very simple "remove a stripped screw" service call, and they required me to ship the whole unit back in a return box. And this is with Advanced Care.

I called them again today and they said they'll mail the parts and send a technician over. So happy I don't have to send it in again.

They fix you the assembly of the palm-rest again ? i have the same problem, but it did it by myself ( when i repasted my laptop ) and the right palm rest area is a little bit propped up like your laptop and the couplings are fine, nothing broken.

Consider yourself lucky, I just received mine a couple days ago, did an unboxing then powered it up. Guess what? The LCD screen didn't work, had to get a whole replacement have to wait another 2 weeks. If the 2nd one becomes another dud, I'm just going to get my money back. I dont think they even test their systems before going out
