Well I got my computer last year around September. The new one, the r2 or something, I want to get it, but obviously I already spent a lot on the old one. Is there anywhere I can sell this computer full price back, or maybe upgrade the graphics card?

Much like buying a new car, the moment the transaction is complete your purchase loses value. Lots of it. You won't be able to sell it back for even near the retail price unless you get Angelina Jolie to smear her blood all over it (or something). ;D

IIRC you have an M14x R1 so it's an expensive switch if you've only had it 6 or 7 months. You can't just upgrade the graphics card - you'd have to replace the mobo with the new R2 one. In theory it's totally possible, but I'd recommend justifying spending the cash and what benefits it will bring you.

Me I'm just happy I *didn't* buy an M14x last November and opted for a MBA instead. Now I can enjoy the R2 without worrying about what I'd do with the R1 I never bought. :D

Actually, resale value is quite high on both Alienware and Macs. There is no way in hell you'll ever get full price back, though :p

You can sell your product on the NBR Marketplace to save on the ebay listing fees.

And no you cannot swap/upgrade GPU's. Only the M15X and upwards can swap GPU's.

If your R1 is working for you and your satisfied, stick with it. Even though I just received my R2....I will be happy until the R3 comes out or the next latest and greatest. You'll never catch up to tech, unless you have the money to do so.

How much approximately can I get for my m14x which is not damaged, has the 3GB 555m, 8GB of RAM and an i7 quad core at 2.4 megahertz?

Thing is my laptop has been experiencing some problems, mostly just Skyrim, and I really like the new one

I'd say about 800$ maybe 900 if still in warranty.

I'd say 900$+ depending on warranty. You can probably get more if you open sales internationally since AW costs increase outside US/CAN.

If your laptop is having problems that's going to seriously affect the price at which you sell your laptop.
