The mod works fine on my desktop, but on my laptop the framerate drops. The game itself runs fine on my laptop, but plays horribly after I install the mod. Any tips? I've whitelisted too.

It's probably just bad coding on the modders part.

As bomblord states the issue might be related to the mod that you implemented. You might want to use the game on the desktop with the mod and without it on the lappy.

Is it possible that the mod implements a separate .exe than TESV.exe? I know when whitelisting Minecraft I had to add the java app instead of Minecraft.exe. Check your processes for anything using large amounts of RAM.
