Think I might look into doing this soon. What are some recommended values and tips to overclocking the GPU from the BIOS A03?

    O_O what???

To the OP, I use MSI afterburner and have core at 700/1400 and memory at 965. Never had any issues with overheating or artifacts. That's just me, I think people have gotten higher numbers but I dont want to risk damaging any hardware

I have tried using afterburner and precision to overclock but every time I hit apply, the speeds reset. I tried changing a setting in the afterburner config file with no avail. can anyone shed some light on this? I really want to over clock on battery to about 450.

    Thanks!

fred2028 : I use MSI Afterburner and I overclock the GPU to 750 MHz without any problem.
You might want to try lower values first, just to make sure that everything runs fine before getting to 750Mhz or more.

MrGiff : I think that you won't be able to overclock the GPU on battery with the A03 BIOS. I'd advise you to try with A01 BIOS and see how things go. I remember someone on this forum stating that he was able to play on battery with that kind of overcolocking ( 400 ish Mhz ).

So GPU OCing has to be done with software and not in BIOS?

Super Octet: I was really hoping that wasnt the case. I guess I wil try and down grade to A01. Some one posted in the "BIOS A03 Released 05/24" that they overclocked using afterburner to 450mhz, so I assume this is on battery. Maybe that person was on A01. But man this gpu chokes on battery!

Anyone been able to OC on battery with A03??

The onboard Intel graphics can be overclocked in the BIOS, but the Nvidia GPU is overclocked with software.

Oh darn. Well if the IGP is to enhance battery life there really is no point OCing it right?

I was really hoping for a BIOS OC for my nVidia card ...
