    Hi,
I've been very tempted by a great deal for M14x R2. I knowthe price is low because of the new R3 coming very soon. Money is tight and I don't think I can afford the new m14x R3. I want to play games when away for work so would love to hear about its gaming performance.
I've agreed a price with Dell but have to make my mind up quickly before they stop selling. These are the specs:

    i7-3630QM
    1GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GT 650M
    8192MB (2x4GB) 1600MHz DDR3
    1600x900 screen
    Blu-Ray
    750GB 7,200rpm

The games I like to play are Crysis 2, Left4Dead 1&2, Deadspace & Bioshock Infinite. I know some games like Crysis 3 will struggle but I want a more portal laptop for work. I'm still going to keep my 3 year old m17x R2 for home.
    Many thanks!
    Russ

Looks great! I'm sure you won't have any trouble running those games.

Whenever you get a few extra bucks you should consider a small mSATA to use as a caching device, pretty easy to install (right beneath the battery), relatively cheap (less than 60 bucks for a 32gb) and it makes a HUGE difference.

    Thanks Luis!!

How much a difference would it make to gaming? It will probably boot quicker but was just wondering if there's any gaming difference with a small mSATA caging drive?

    Thanks!

Not much difference, however it may help improve data streaming games like WoW or diablo.
