Hey I bought a Alienware M14x around 2-3 months ago.
    I have a Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3630QM CPU @ 2.4 GHz 2.40 GHz
    And 16 GB of Ram
Right, a couple of days ago one of my applications froze then it said 'windows explorer is not responding' (which never happens) so pretty much it would lockup and freeze, then it became more common. And then games like Lol would drop from 60 FPS to 30 FPS, and i bought Arma 3 the other day and i run on 12 FPS, and so i re-installed it then i had 60 FPS and when i went in game, after a couple of seconds it would go back down to 12, even with skyrim, (usually runs perfect with Ultra setting) sometimes either it would Just run slowly or sometimes run completely fine then after a couple of minutes, it would run really slow ( drop in FPS).
I did a real temp test before i played skyrim then after i played it for a couple of minutes.

    Can someone please help?

What about your Gpu temperature? While the CPU is a little hot, it hasn't reached the threshold for throttling. Loosing half or more FPS imho is more likely related to the Gpu

you need to pro up the back of your laptop so it can suck cool air in better/easier or get a laptop cooler. You can monitor all temps with hwinfo (free tool for temp monitoring).

Download hwinfo, it will read your system temperatures, including your GPU

yeah those were the screenshots, and the fan doesnt seem to run while playing games, even though i leave the laptop on the edge of my knees while revealing the fan, and then when i lift up my fan upwards , it then runs then my laptops fps goes higher

Check your fan connector. Sounds like its either loose or you might need a new fan. :(

You can open your Alienware to perform cleaning, changing ram, CPU, hdd/ssd, and it won't cause your warranty to get voided

I'm pretty sure its the fan. Personally, I would call alienware and tell that that you believe that your fan has stopped working and that you would like it replaced. They should take of you from there. Hope this helps!! :)

As bigtony said, it could be the fan. If it doesn't work, and temperatures rises, this could explain the lock and freezes you are experiencing. Have you installed hwinfo?

Edit: found the pic with your info, I would bet a lot of money that you are running the 320 drivers from nvidia. They DO NOT WORK with Windows 8 in my experience, get those pos drivers off your rig and put on the 310 or 314 drivers. You may need to reinstall games afterwards
