I just got my M14x R2 a few days ago and decided to play some Blacklight Retribution today. I was in the middle of playing when it froze, crashed, and gave me the blue screen of death. Now under the device manager it says the 650m has stopped working because it is reporting an error (code 43). I'm really worried and not sure where to go from here. I wasn't overclocking anything and running completely normal. Please help :(

I did a bit of digging on the internet.... Doesn't sound good. Sounds like card may be fried. I'd call Dell and check into a warranty replacement.

I've been a bit worried about this happening.... I don't OC my card either, but I play for extended periods at a time. I think that if I shelled out the money for this card, it should be able to safely perform under normal operating circumstances. I hope yours is just a fluke and not consistent with the rest of the product line.

That's what I thought too. The thing was I had only been playing for about 30 minutes. I installed a few different drivers and nothing seemed to work. What I eventually did was disable my card and shut down. I powered back up and enabled the card, and I haven' gotten an error yet. Now I haven't used the card yet, but it's at least a good sign. That's what I did with a card on my desktop with a similar problem and it started working again and is still working.

I'll keep everyone posted on how things turn out.

EDIT: I reverted to the old drivers for now. Does anyone have a recommendation on which beta drivers to use from nvidia? or what drivers to use in general. I tried the one from Dell but the card didn't seem to recognize it...

Just Cause 2 just crashed my M14x. The GPU is still shows that its working though. I was checking the temps and they were around 60-70C. I thought it was weird because the fans weren't running very fast at all, even though they've been running a lot when I'm just surfing the web. Right as it crashed there were a bunch of white blocks on the screen and it froze up. I think I'm going to reinstall the new drivers and see what happens.
