    Hi Guys,

First, after having a lot of BSOD problems with the factory drivers in my R2, I changed to the 304.79 Beta drivers. They are working alright, except one thing. After browsing the internet or editing a document for a couple hours, the GPU just turns off--and no this is not optimus. I try to trigger it by opening a game, but it doesn't turn on--horrible fps and speedfan doesn't detect it. When I click on the Nvidia control panel, it says that "you are not currently using a display that is attached to an Nvidia GPU".
The only way to get the GPU back on is to restart the computer. It's just kind of annoying. Any ideas?

Downgrade back to stock 296.16 drivers, unless there's something you have to have from these drivers.

Uninstall all nVidia drivers to ensure a clean install.

You need to try this article. Make it this way and it should work fine, after you do that you may need to follow all these steps to make sure that all the optimus settings are done properly and avoid the BSOD's.

Thanks for the article, Luis! I am also having the issue where the GT650M seems to "turn off" by itself. Occasionally, it shows in Device Manager as Standard VGA Adapter until I reboot. I could be in the middle of browsing or not doing anything at all when this occurs.

I am hesitant to use 296.16 version (as compared to 304.79) since the older version does not get detected with GPU Observer gadget that monitors GPU temps.

I guess I'll just live with this minor annoyance to reboot when the GT650M "turns off" occasionally. Maybe a newer driver version will fix the problem in the future.

Unfortunately the way to fix this issue is probably getting back to the DELL drivers since they are the ones tested to work by our engineering team and they will work fine with the Optimus Technology.
