As we head into warmer temperatures in the States, I wanted to send out a friendly reminder to clean out your M14x (using compressed air while your laptop is the easiest way). With ambient temperatures on the rise, your M14x will appreciate the cleaning. In addition, anything that helps prevent hair-dryer-fan-mode and/or throttling is always good.

    Happy cleaning and gaming.

No truer words have ever been spoken. I always clean out my laptops every couple of months and as such, I have never suffered from heat related problems.

Agreed. Every time i open up my M14x to repaste and clean out dust blocking the fan, I'm always amazed at how quiet it becomes; hairdryer mode is almost completely averted.
