Thx bro
ive just read this webpage few mins ago -
TheHansTheDampf Notebook Evangelist
so which one is better? the new or the old CPU? seems a bit in between no?
from a pure CPU performance point of view i mean.
How will that impact gaming/movie/photo editing? -
It seems to me a little bit faster and better using turbo boost?
Rumors said that 2760 is kinda like old serious of 28xxQM
so i guess it will def do better interms of using turbo boost?
But i dunno man. Hmm since the sales called me today and help me to do a free update so i guess it would be a good thing. I guess -
This would probably why you got bumped up. Intel might not be shipping the processors these new ones are replacing. Intel adds 16 CPUs to Sandy Bridge stable, slashes prices on some older silicon -- Engadget
Anandtech has a chart of the specifics of these new chips:

My payment got processed this morning and my m14x is in production since 2:30pm today. Im crossing my fingers in hope that the 2720qm is not available and they give me a 2760qm, however improbable that sounds. 200 mhz is not a big deal to me when the main factor for gaming is the gpu according to the experts.

if I got my m14x 2 days ago, can I get the new cpu?
PS: I have i7-2630..
