So today i went to try wow with this machine and cranked everything to ultra and to my surprise i get 14 fps... is going on?

Just yesterday i ran rift with everything max (Custom Settings) without a hitch and very solid fps and now i cant play wow at ultra?

I read some of you guys had wow running at 60+ fps on ultra, so if you could give me some pointers how to do it i would appreciate it.

PS : I have set wow to use the 555m...Well at least thats what the nvidia control tells me.

try pick it from the start menu and right click and hit run with nvidia graphics just to test. The white list is not always perfect but that is how I force a program sometimes

Is the GPU down clocking? I know ATI uses Power Play, but am unsure what Nvidia uses.

Are you playing with the power plugged in? It performs badly on battery

All fine now, with vsynch on game on ultra supersampling etc im getting between 45-60 Fps depending where i am and i havent seen any drops.

Problem was i had ambient oclusion ON and that eats your FPS like a .

    Thanks anyway guys.
