So I was poking around some forums and was reading a thread on screen calibration. Decided to find my display model name (Samsung 140KT - 900p screen) and googled it because why not. In the front page, I see this on ebay in google. Samsung 140KT MATTE screen. Its 14 inches, has the same model number, and its matte. Anyone got any clues?

EDIT: Its also for sale on a more-reliable site

1600x900, WLED, and still matte. Thoughts?

Why don't you buy the 35 dollars matte screen protector from dell?

I personally dont have much of an interest, but I know alot of people complain about the glossiness of the display. This might be better as its naturally matte? Not really sure, just thought I'd see if anyone was interested in my find. If it works though I was getting ideas of how the m14x has a glossy display under a plastic panel right? So if a matte display was under the plastic panel, would it have less glare?

The key is the plastic panel. Unless u replace it, otherwise matte screen is almost useless.

Isn't the M14x screen matte already ( behind the plexy edge to edge glass) ?

The m17x and M18x have matte screens behind them I think, but pretty sure the m11x and m14x have glossy under glossy

isn't it just as hard to get the screen panel out of the m14x as it is with the m17x and the rest of them? That would make this pretty risky wouldn't it?
