    Faster boot time?

    Is there a way to make the laptop boot up faster(HDD)?

    Clean the task that launch at boot with msconfig, do a registery cleaner, defrag your HDD.
    And if you have money, buy a SSD but I think you just ask how to boot faster with our HDD and without changing it.

    go into msconfig and turn off unwanted startup items....

    to save 4-5 seconds disable No GUI boot, which disables win 7 startup animation.

    Click Start
    type msconfig
    ENTER
    you get System configuration
    click Boot
    check NO GUI boot
    restart

    Both a Momentus XT or a SSD would help boot time, if you're looking for a hardware fix.
