I have an i7 M14x with a 3.0 GB nVidia 555 card. I have an HP w2406h (24" using HDMI) monitor that I use as my primary monitor as well as the monitor on the laptop. When the display sleeps, the HP monitor does not "fully" turn off. There is a black screen but, the back light is still on. It looks just like using a blank screen saver. I installed the drivers for the monitor and I am up to date on all my graphics card drivers. The monitor is set for 1920X1200and 60 Hz. What do I need to fix?
