    Dual sound?

    Ive looked around for this but havnt found a way. how do i play music throught my headset ( astros a40 ) and laptop speakers at the same time?

    also how do i get Realtek HD audio manager? cause right now my sound works fine but i dont see any type of control panel

    plug headphones into one head phone jack speakers into the other and also realtek hd manager shud be bottom right on desktop

    there should be an icon in the bottom right hand corner, if not search for it on your computer and run the .exe :)

    I dont have it thats the problem , and i mean the laptops speakers

    when i click RTNKGui, it pops up alienware audio and i cant do with that

    it doesnt sound like you downloaded the audio driver.

    what i wanna do is play youtube music through speakers while skyping on my headset

    maybe you need to plug your other jack into another speaker. i mean if you plug 2 different earphones in, you will have sound coming from both earphones.

    Im talking about 1 headset + the laptops internal speaker

    Then no, I dont think it will. I always thought it was a hardware switch that gets hit when you plug a jack into the ports...

    uhm i was told it was possible with Realtek HD audio manager, but problem is when i dont have it. all i have is Alienware Audio

    download the realtek HD audio manager from the m14x drivers section on the dell page. it should show up in your control panel afterwards.

    Ok now its Realtek HD audio maanger instead of just alienware audio but its the same program -_- is their even a way to play through both

    probably not. you said you were told that realtek hd audio manager would do the trick but you must've been mistaken. you probably need to plug in another exterior speaker.

    The only way I can think of is if you get a usb headset. The headphone jack turns off the speakers when you insert headphones into it. It is the same channel. So it can't tell the difference between the headphone jack and the speakers.

    That is how I do it. My bose speakers are usb based and I play music thru them. I use the internal speakers on my m18x to do vent. so basicly the same just in reverse of what you want to do...

    the I would say use one of the usb adapters that have been linked... and please tell me you are using those headphones for more than just skype...

    I guess I meant for something more of the lines of listening to music, or dj'ing, or making music or something that requires really good headphones. Just seems to be a bit of overkill for using it just for voip.
