I want to drive 2 external 24" 1080p monitors from my Alienware M14x laptop. I have VGA, DisplayPort, and HDMI. The 2 screens should be showing different things (i.e. not duplicates). Is there a way to do this? For example, can I buy an HDMI or VGA splitter?

I am open to options where my laptop screen could also be used and also where it can't.

Right Click , go to screen resolution , Multiple display , Extend these display.

    or

Right Click Nividia CP , setup multiple displays.

I need to connect 2 monitors to my laptop though. Do I just connect 1 to VGA and the other to HDMI, or both to a VGA splitter, both to an HDMI splitter, how do I do this?

    I'd say 1 HDMI & DisplayPort(USB) that's what I'm using to get 2 monitor works.

When I use splitter it seem doesn't enough power to push it.

When you connect either HDMI or VGA only 1 of em will work.
