    Does the 14 Blu ray player write to dvd's for backup

    I just received my 14 and like my last M14X I would like to do a backup with dvd's. My specs just say read speads. Anyone done this yet? Thanks

    I used alien ware respawn and made successfully the backup in two dvd-r without problem

    The 14's blu-ray reader should be able to read and write DVDs, but only read blu-rays.
