I just want to create one to clear this up: Does the M14x fully support SATA 3 (don't care what tech specs say, any hard evidence?) and achieve SATA 3 speeds (as opposed to downgrading to SATA 2 speeds which renders getting a lower storage SATA 3 drive a waste of money)?

Can we get a compilation of benchmarks of M14x with SATA 2 and 3 drives?

(sorry if this has been answered, but I just want a conspicuous thread which answers this question)

I have a vertex 3 120gb sata 3 drive in my m14x and it is only running at sata 2 speeds.

I keep hearing that it does support sata 3 6.0gb/s but so far it hasn't worked for me yet.
