Besides the 50 off and I think their is a coupon for free shipping (you can get this by asking as well)

The only other thing is EPP and you can only use that if your company is a part of the EPP program.

Just try to call and haggle. That's about all you can do.

I've been reading alot of threads where people were able to haggle up to 75$ on the new AW units, so give it a try. Some people have also been successful in haggling over night shipping :)

I've never haggled in my life (and haven't ordered yet).

What do you consider a "good haggle amount"?

I didn't haggle either but got around $450ish off not counting the free next day air. There wasn't the $50 off coupon that worked at the time I ordered so I could have got even more off.

They're new systems. For obvious reasons Dell aren't inclined to give a significant discount on them like you can get for the other systems.

There are threads around here about how to haggle with the reps. With the right rep, you could possibly get a discount of several hundred dollars (or at least some free upgrades). However, it probably won't work on the new systems (yet).

I still think some of the claims are 'internet ego' related, I mean...I could claim I negotiated to buy a Ford F-150 Raptor for $12,000 - and the only one I need to prove it to is myself. In fact, I have three of those trucks, red, white, and blue to show my national pride.

Some people probably do get lucky, more than any elite haggling skills. I even called Dell about an M15x and tried the old..."If you make it this price, I'll buy it right now!" and there was a few second pause until I was rejected.

Luck > skill in many sales cases - especially with computers. Every time some one gets lucky, another rep realizes "A different sap will pay full price..."

    It's all in the draw!
