    Dim grill light.

    i have a problem on my m14x were the left grill is dimmer than the right one, and my settings are not set to "dim lighting zones". does anyone know how to fix this?

    I'd first make sure both grills are cleans with a damp cloth. If it's still dimmer then the other one, only thing I can think of would be physically opening the laptop and checking on the LED light, but if you still have warranty just get a dell technician to do it. I'd also probably try to update the firmware of the keyboard which is basically an updated version of Alienware's Command Center. Hope this helps, I'm sure other people here will have other/better suggestions.

    yeah, iv'e cleaned them, and its still dim. So i guess i'll have to check the led :p

    Can you take pictures? Sometimes theres a piece of like thin paper/plastic on there and it can be moved by accident

    Not just you , all alienware machine been that way , also the white unable to show "true" white , its kind pinkish white.

    Yeah youre good. Thats honestly why I had you take the picture, most people nitpick their machines ;) I remember I almost had them replace my battery because the light wasnt working but turns out I wasnt pressing it hard enough
