Did I get a M14x that runs cooler than most?

Here's my CPU temps.... I accidentally exited out of MSI but I remember the max GPU temp was about 85 degrees.
It was after about 2 or so hours of Starcraft 2. I understand that it isn't the most stressful game out there, but it isn't a game any computer could run either. I understand a lot of other people were in the mid to high 90 ranges while playing after a couple hours, and mine doesn't even get to the mid 80's... Is that normal for Starcraft 2, or did I luck out and get a model that doesn't run hot?
    Thanks guys.

Oh, and I do have it on my lap, but on top of a laptop mat. Not a cooler, just a plastic disk that the laptop goes on.

This is normal for having turbo boost off. If you turn turbo boost on you will experience hotter CPU temps. This is not recommended.

So the answer to your initial question is "no, you don't have a cooler m14x". Most of the people experiencing higher temps were running games with turbo boost on.

Yeah, I turned it off last night, didn't remember it was off until after I posted this.... I kind of want to turn it back on and look at what I get then.

Mine has always run pretty cool to the touch.
It gets warm after about an hour of gaming, I'd say 70-80 degrees.

I've never used software to check the temps, and I haven't looked at the bios yet. I think Turbo was turned off at factory.
