Hello and thank you for having me.

New M14xr2 owner. Loving it so far. Any complaints I may have, I can live with for such a beast of a laptop.

I've tried searching the forums for this problem, found some stuff to try, but still nothing works really.

So I have uploaded the custom ICC color profile. So if i'm correct, this controls the color while the integrated card is activated. What should I do in the nvidia settings then? Right now I have "Other applications control color settings"

Also the gamma settings will not stick in Diablo 3 whenever I alt+tab and back. Looks like it is switching between between color settings of the onboard and nvidia. I'm not sure of a solution to this. I definitely don't want to use the nvidia color settings if that's what it is changing to whenever I switch back to the game if it is true that laptop is switching to the nvidia card then. How much does optimus help?

My thoughts are scattered. I apologize

I'm going to look into that :) , in the mean time, here's an article with a little information on how the nvidia optimus technology works.

You need to tweak NVIDIA settings for gaming and INTEL settings for regular use. You are trying to get your intel settings to work on gaming which is controlled with NVIDIA. Just set it to 40%, 40%, and .86 for Brightness, Contrast and GAMMA. Then go into the intel settings and change all that to under COLOR ENHANCEMENTS:

    Brightness: 5
    Contrast: 50
    Gamma: 0.6
    HUE: 0
    Saturation: 11

Lastly tweak the setting for gamma under windows calibration in color management under advance tab. Have fun and just use your naked eye and a good feel of what you think it should be and compare it to three - four other lcd devices and play around.

ALIENWARE IF YOU ARE LISTENING....YOUR LCD SELECTION BLOWS MONKEY CHUNKS FOR THE AMOUNT OF MONEY WE ARE SPENDING. Extremely pathetic choice all across for 2012 and the only decent thing you did was RGB in the m17x r2 and then decide to kill it...omg yo who is running the mother ship....

What driver version are you running right now? If you are not running the latest nvidia version, download and install that one using this article as a guide to properly update the graphics driver. Find, download and install any new patches for that game.
