    Hi guys,

I found a deal for a M14x with the current specs

Processor: Intel Core i7-2670 QM Processor (2.2 GHz)
    Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium
    Alienware M14x
500 GB SATA Hard Drive (7200 RPM)
    4 GB Dual Channel DDR3 (1600MHz)
    8X DVD +/- RW Drive
NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M 1.5 GB graphics with Optimus

They're asking for $950, but I took a look at the thread on how to "haggle" the price a bit, so I'm trying to get this for around $900. What do you guys think?

    Thanks!

I think its a good buy, even if you get it and put your own 8GB ram and SSD in it, will be extremely fast for a very good price

    Hey Mate,

there is only the R1 at the moment.

I don't have any problem with Referbs, Dell still offer warranty on it, so i wouldn't stress, i have purchased a couple in the past and had no issues.

SimCard requires the use of the Dell miniPCIe card (available on ebay). I've got mine hacked in, and it works great.

I paid 1002 when I got my M14x, and I'd kill to get another for the same price. It all comes down to watching deals and specials. I'd have NO issues buying a refurb, I use to work at Dell and 98% of the time, its an open box return.

I'm sure it's gone now. You need to purchase as soon as you see it listed.

I got mine refurbished for $825, CA tax included. Your CPU is faster though. The original specs are in my signature.

That's essentially the same machine I just bought for right around $1200. I also added Bluetooth and a couple other minor things, and of course mine wasn't refurbished... but still, that's $300 off of what I spent new. Not bad. If another one pops up at that price, you should just take it at $950 and not worry about haggling too much from there. It's a good price as is.
