I bought the M14X a few months ago and had no problems with it. However recently my wireless connections have started to cause me problems. I find that my wireless connection drops at random moments and am unable to connect to the internet, only a few seconds later for the connection to re connect. I have downloaded the latest drivers, unplugged my router and restored it to factory settings and still I have the same problem.

I had this problem too. If you have the intel wifilink 1000, the cards have flaws. I haggled with a dell tech for an hour on the phone, and he finally gave me an intel 6250 for free. Solved all my connection problems. IF they don't give you one, they're only 20 bucks on ebay or less.

It's as easy to install as ram, and its located under the battery, easy to get to, should take about a minute. Just attach the antennae correctly to it.
