They will ask you your student email address, student number and university/school where you study.
Unfortunately it looks like none of the options can be modified, not even OS; the sales rep was pretty adament about that :-(
You can however add all the software/game/accessory options as normal, like anti-virus, office, games, the kinect, bags, etc.
Hope this info is useful!

Thats kind of funny. It's almost the base model but with the 900P screen ($75) and the bluetooth($20).
So theoretically, they are charging you $95.00 for the Xbox 360 lol -
-
Wish I would of waited to get my M14x lol -
I'm actually probably going to wait for the R2. Just thought I'd share my findings with others when I saw this on the EPP site -
-
I purchased this bundle and also take into account that it comes with 1 year accidental warranty along side the 1 year factory warranty. Also it gets 3 day shipping included.

Too bad you can't get the WiFi upgrade...I guess they want to get rid of some stock specced laptops quick.
-
Can't you just upgrade the wifi yourself? Prolly like $20 for the 6205 card. Won't it already have the antenna installed? Wish they'd have options to upgrade the service plan to the student service plans. They're basically the advanced accidental, except they're like half the price from what I saw on other configs..

I purchased my custom built m14x on Sunday May 22nd without the 360 bundle. I decided to call them today to see if they can add it to my order somehow ;] Wouldn't hurt to try. If anything, if you already bought it, you can probably hustle them by saying you want to return your Alienware so you can order the one with the 360 bundle.

I think....this deal is great...if you can't manage to get any discounts from the rep....I managed to get my configuration at 1199+tax...so don't think I am gonna go for this....but definitely if u want a xbox or aren't getting a good rep who is willing to mark a 200-300$ discount...then....xbox is the way to go
-
I still think you should've gotten the free xbox with $1199 plus tax.
-
-
not true, i think it depends on the sales rep you get....i got the free xbox after purchasing an m14x at $1,257.27 and also said i was a student.....

I called Dell today to see if I could still get the Xbox deal since they hadn't shipped my beast yet. I purchased my system under the Employee Purchase Program (EPP) since I am in the USAF and was told the Xbox was only for students. So I said "well I go take college classes in the military." The Dell rep said I had to have an ID issued to me by a university to qualify. Crazy how the students get a deal better than folks serving in the military....I ordered my system on 11 July and it still has not shipped...
-
Yea I ordered my Dell Alienware m14x on June 27 and it has been delayed several times. Some towards parts, parts again.. I don't know what to do. Um anyway is Dells alienware m14x eligible to come with an xbox 360? I would ask Dell for expedited shipping but I got free shipping with a promotional code from there site! So I don't know what to do! ( I knew I should of bought the battalion instead of the alienware.. Lmao) good luck to anybody who wants an alienware laptop.. Long wait.. (I'm still waiting lmao)
