Is the only way to get that 20gb factory default partition back by completely reformatting and reinstalling windows 7?

its possible to delete the recovery information from that partition and then to re integrate it into another existing one however its ill advised...it tends to ahve more problems that way its like having "used" memory....its better to just reformat

Yea, that's one of the reasons i reformatted as soon as I got my my 14x. It doesn't make much sense to keep a recovery partition on the same drive.

Hmmmm, I super dislike reformatting because it takes forever, but I guess if I want that extra 20gb, it would be wiser to do it now considering I don't have much installed where as I would months down the line with more things installed.

Yeah lol, I think I just got too excited about getting the laptop and wanted to play some PC games because I haven't own a PC in over 5-6 years.

Oh well, I hope it doesn't take too long.

I guess I'll just follow these guides tonight and do a fresh install.
