    Dead pixel

    Hi

    Just noticed on my month old M14x r2 that i have a semi dead pixel and a completely dead pixel on my screen these are smack in the middle of the screen and driving me crazy.

    I feel you brah. I haven't had mine for more then a month and I've notice a 2-3 cluster dead pixel on the bottom left corner and two more single dead pixels, one close to the bottom center and the other more to the bottom right. UGH! Didn't notice them until I changed my background picture to something mostly white from the default dark Alienware background.

    You might want to look into contacting Dell support then.
    I found this policy on the m17x which says that 2 or more completely dead pixels qualify for replacement. I assume it's a similar policy for the m14x.

    noticed also that the edge of the track pad has scratched part of the acrylic on the screen.

    the screens on these laptop is designed VERY BADLY a sunk screen and a matt finish would be 10X better.

    might try and get a refund and find a batter laptop.
